Greetings for the last time. Since this is the year I am retiring and it is the last week of school I thought I would write and say Good Bye. It has been a very rewarding career for me and I am sorry to leave it. Thank you for sending such wonderful little people to school and it is my hope they are off to a good start and will continue to enjoy learning for the next 12 years. Thank you for your patience with them and with me. I wish you well.
Sincerely,
Jeanie Thies

It is a snowy birthday for Mrs. Wagner! Jessie, Josh, Will, and Zane are absent. We will write rhyming words, make a large number 6, and make a magic cat. It is music and p.e. day so that is good. We will have a good day even if we don’t get to go outside for recess.

Today we will get a gift (the word you), practice writing letters and numbers, make a left and right mitten page, hear a story about Martin Luther King, and get to play with a special kind of clay. Hope you like what your child made-it was fun!!
Tomorrow the reading teachers will be here to test the students on letter names and sounds and the sight words and silly words. It is important to have a good nights sleep and to eat a good breakfast in order to do a great job and be a good learner.

Happy New Year.  I’ll try to do better about keeping yu updated each day.  Today, Sophie is absent.  We will get a new gift-the new word are, do an opposite page of hot and cold, hopefully complete ALL report cards as they are due to go home on Friday, play a new math game called flash and lastly hear a story from the school counselor, Mrs. Zeigler, about strangers.

We are all glad to be back at school and in the routine.  After Christmas is a time of real growth on the part of the kids.  Both mentally and physically.  It is so rewarding to watch and be a part of.

Love,

Mrs. Thies
